C-17 assault runway
The first Air National Guard assault runway opened at Camp Shelby,
Miss., on Monday. The new training facility is designed
for proficiency training for the 172nd Mississippi Air National Guard
in short landing/takeoff missions either in deployed combat operations or
emergency support roles.
