NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A brigadier general with the Tennessee Army National Guard has been promoted to the rank of major general.
The Guard announced Friday that Mike Maloan was given his second star by Tennessee’s Adjutant General Major Gen. Gus Hargett.
Maloan, of Martin, Tenn., is the deputy commander of the Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters in Nashville and is responsible for readiness and effectiveness in training and logistics for the Guard’s state and federal missions.
In his civilian occupation, Maloan is the presiding judge and chancellor of the 27th Judicial District for Weakley and Obion counties in west Tennessee.
