LINCOLN, Neb. — The general commanding Nebraska’s National Guard forces is leaving for a post in Washington.
Maj. Gen. Tim Kadavy has been named deputy director of the Army National Guard. He’ll be helping the Army National Guard director coordinate programs, policies and plans affecting the Army National Guard through the country.
A news release Friday from the office of Gov. Dave Heineman says he hopes to have Kadavy’s replacement named by Sept. 1.
Kadavy had served as Nebraska adjutant general since Nov. 3, 2007.
Combined, the Nebraska Army and Air National Guard have about 4,900 members.
