COLUMBUS, Ga. — Four people who were arrested during weekend protests at Fort Benning are to appear in federal court in Columbus.
The protesters were taking part in the annual demonstrations against the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, formerly known as the School of the Americas.
The school at Fort Benning trains Latin American soldiers. Protesters say it’s linked to human rights violations in Latin America.
Those arrested are charged with trespassing on federal property.
