CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Thirteen West Virginia high schools are participating in the annual Take a Veteran to School Day program.
Veterans will visit the schools from Nov. 9 through Nov. 19 and give students first-hand accounts of their experiences.
Sen. Jay Rockefeller is hosting the program. He says its real-life history lessons will have a meaningful impact on students.
Participating high schools include Brooke, Parkersburg, Morgantown, Robert C. Byrd, Hurricane, East Fairmont, Huntington, Buckhannon-Upshur, Capital, Musselman, Fayetteville, Summers County, and Bluefield.
