PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — A U.S. military spokesman in Haiti says six American soldiers involved in the aid mission have come down with malaria.
Army Col. Billy J. Buckner said one soldier was evacuated for treatment. “At last update, the soldier was improving,” Buckner said.
Buckner said the other soldiers are recovering. All six soldiers are scheduled to return to their duties, he said.
