A full or partial eclipse will be visible across North America

The eclipse is expected to begin in Northeast Florida at 1:16 p.m. and last until 4:11 p.m., with 90 percent of the sun covered at 2:47 p.m. (Photo courtesy of NASA)

Today’s solar eclipse will be a sight to behold, but it’s important to take precaution.

So you don’t damage your eyes, use special solar filters or another indirect method to view the phenomenon.

The Defense Department put out a video on how to safely watch today’s solar eclipse.
