Experts on military tax issues will host a MilTax Facebook Live event Wednesday from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

The experts on hand will be Army Lt. Col. David Dulaney, executive director of the Armed Forces Tax Council, and Erika Slaton of Military OneSource.

It’s live, free and open to the public. No need to register, and service members and family members can visit the page before and during the event to post questions.

Dulaney and Slaton will also have teams of experts standing by to answer military tax questions, including Military OneSource tax consultants.

This 30-minute window is not the only time you can ask tax questions.

These tax consultants are available at all times to provide assistance to active duty members and their families for free, and are trained to understand military-specific tax topics and situations, such as extensions and deadlines while serving in a combat zone, and how new tax laws may affect the military community.

The Armed Forces Tax Council oversees military free tax preparation programs offered worldwide.

During the Facebook Live event the tax consultants can also answer questions about MilTax, the free software offered through Military OneSource, designed for the military community.
