Only four films remain in our Military Movie Madness bracket and "Saving Private Ryan" is facing its toughest competitor yet — "Full Metal Jacket." Can the Spielberg classic defeat the favorite of many Marines? Your vote could decide. Voting for the semifinal round is underway and will close Sunday night, setting the stage for the championship match and the crowning of the best military movie ever, according to Military Times readers.

"Saving Private Ryan" outlasted "Black Hawk Down" in the quarterfinals, while "Full Metal Jacket" took out "Platoon" in an all-Vietnam-epic showdown. Those two winning films, rated as top seeds by our selection panel, will face off over the next few days, with the winner entering Monday's final as a clear favorite.

From the underdog side comes "The Longest Day," a World War II classic starring John Wayne, Sean Connery, Henry Fonda, Richard Burton, and many, many more Hollywood legends. Three of its four wins in early voting came against movies with higher seeds.

To reach the finals, Wayne and Co. will need to down "Patton," which trounced "Top Gun" in quarterfinal action and has won every matchup by at least 30 percentage points.
