CBS, the network behind the NCIS series, might be branching out to another military-themed show.

According to entertainment magazine Variety, CBS has ordered a pilot for "Four Stars," a "family military drama" set in Tampa, Florida.

With MacDill Air Force Base home to U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command and Special Operations Command Central, Tampa is prime fodder for story lines. The area also entered the spotlight in 2012 when former CENTCOM commander David Petraeus was forced to resign from the CIA when an affair with his biographer was discovered.

Writer Becky Mode will executive produce the series with Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and R.J. Cutler, who will direct the pilot, according to Variety.

Ed Harrison, director of press information for CBS Entertainment, said it's too premature to discuss the show.

"We don't even know if it will be a series yet," Harrison said. "At this point, there are no other details."
