AAFES pumps up gas discount this weekend

Today through Sunday, April 12, drivers get an extra 5 cents-per-gallon discount — for a total of 10 cents off per gallon — when they pay for gas with their Military Star card at Army and Air Force Exchange Service stations.

Normally, the discount is 5 cents per gallon using the Star card, but AAFES periodically offers an extra discount.

Any authorized exchange customer — Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Army, Air Force, active duty, reserve, Guard, retiree or family member — can use exchange facilities of any service branch.

Just remember to pay off that credit card at the end of the month to avoid interest charges.
