CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The National Ground Intelligence Center in Albemarle County has welcomed its new leader.

The Daily Progress reports Col. Ketti C. Davison assumed command of the post Tuesday as the center paid tribute to its departing commander, Col. Nichoel E. Brooks.

Brooks, who began leading the center in 2013, says being commander reinforced for her the importance of relationships, technology and being a soldier.

Davison says she is humbled by the opportunity to join the center's team after experiencing firsthand the difference that it makes to soldiers.

The center provides intelligence information to troops and commanders in combat zones.
