HONOLULU — Three refueling tankers and 50 members of the Hawaii Air National Guard are home after a four-month deployment to the Middle East.

The Guard says two tankers and most of the airmen arrived at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam from Qatar on Monday. One tanker returned on Thursday.

The tankers refueled airplanes in the air, extending the range of air operations in Iraq and Syria.

The three KC-135 Stratotankers belong to the 203rd Air Refueling Squadron. All of the airmen who deployed are members of the 154th Wing.
