More dining options are coming to some Army and Air Force bases, as the Army and Air Force Exchange Service brings Boston Market and Chick-fil-A restaurants on board.

Two Boston Market restaurants have opened — at Fort Meade, Maryland, in early November, and at Fort Bliss, Texas, in October.

The exchange service eventually expects to have about 10 Boston Market locations, said AAFES CEO Tom Shull, who spoke at the American Logistics Convention on Oct. 27.

Chick-fil-A will start with five locations overseas, followed by "probably at least 10 locations" in the continental U.S., Shull said.

AAFES officials have been working to provide healthier dining options in conjunction with the Healthy Base Initiative, he said.

Boston Market restaurants offer more than 100 meals containing fewer than 550 calories. The chain recently announced sodium reductions in several menu items, and is working to reduce total sodium across its menu by an average of 15 percent, according to a statement from Boston Market officials.

The restaurants prepare their rotisserie chicken using birds with no added hormones. They offer a number of side dishes and have been adding healthier menu items as well.

The Fort Meade Boston Market restaurant is at 2799 Rose Street; the Fort Bliss restaurant is at 1613 Marshall Road.
