There is only a handful of hearings but plenty of defense/veterans work on Capitol Hill this week.

The House Armed Services Committee will wrap up its work on the annual defense authorization bill with a marathon markup session Wednesday. The hearing will start at 10 a.m. and isn't expected to end before midnight.

Their Senate counterparts continue budget reviews of the authorization legislation, due later this summer.

Both the House and Senate Foreign Affairs committees have hearings to continue debate on Iran legislation, and the two chambers' Veterans' Affairs committees will meet as the full House considers appropriations for that department.
