Police arrest man at Minot AFB on child pornography charges

MINOT, N.D. — A 21-year-old Minot man accused of possessing child pornography has been arrested.

The Minot Police Department says the man was arrested Tuesday on one count of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a minor and 10 counts of possession of prohibited materials.

The police department says it served a search warrant at an address in northeast Minot on Feb. 1. It says investigators seized several electronic devices on which they found "numerous" images of child pornography.

The man was arrested at Minot Air Force Base. It's unclear if he's an airman.

He was transported to the Ward County Jail where he will be held until his initial appearance.
