21, of Salem, Ore.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; died Oct. 8 from wounds sustained while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Anbar province, Iraq. Also killed were: Lance Cpl. Jeremy S. Sandvick Monroe and Capt. Robert M. Secher.
