FORT KNOX, Ky. — The military says a Fort Knox soldier who was serving in Afghanistan has died after his vehicle hit a roadside bomb.
The Defense Department says 25-year-old Sgt. James Healy of Hesperia, Calif., died Monday, along with 36-year-old Maj. Michael Green of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Healy was assigned to the 703rd Explosive Ordnance Detachment at Fort Knox. Green was with Headquarters, V Corps in Heidelberg, Germany.
