Died October 27, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
24, of Hauppage, N.Y.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; killed Oct. 27 by an indirect fire explosion in Saqlawiyah, Iraq. Also killed was Lance Cpl. Robert F. Eckfield Jr.
