28, of Hoover, Ala.; assigned to 1st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany; died Aug. 19 of injuries sustained while conducting security and observation operations, when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using multiple grenades in Ramadi, Iraq.
