Died October 8, 2006 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
21, of Salem, Ore.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; died Oct. 8 from wounds sustained while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Asad, Iraq. Also killed were Lance Cpl. Jeremy S. Sandvick Monroe and Capt. Robert M. Secher.
