28, of Rochester, N.Y.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died Sept. 27 in Baghdad of injuries suffered when his mounted patrol came in contact with enemy forces using small-arms fire during combat operations.
