Army 1st Lt. Carlos J. Diaz
Died August 23, 2005 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom27, of Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Ga.; killed Aug. 23 when enemy forces detonated an explosive device near his position in Baqubah, Iraq.
