Died September 24, 2005 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom34, of Vista, Calif.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, Los Alamitos, Calif.; attached to 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward); killed Sept. 24 by an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Taqaddum, Iraq.
