Died October 18, 2005 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom22, of Tonganoxie, Kan.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 172nd Sryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; killed Oct. 18 when he was hit by enemy fire while performing a combat mission in Mosul, Iraq.
