Died October 19, 2005 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom31, of Amarillo, Texas; assigned to the Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 142nd Infantry Regiment, 56th Brigade Combat Team, 36th Infantry Division, Amarillo, Texas; died Oct. 19 in Baghdad of injuries sustained Oct. 18 when multiple improvised explosive devices detonated near his Humvee during convoy operations in Iskandariyah, Iraq.
