Died May 15, 2006 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
25, of Merrill, Wis.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, Fort Carson, Colo.; killed May 15 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat patrol operations in Baghdad. Also killed was Staff Sgt. Marion Flint Jr.
