Died June 23, 2006 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom21, of Nokomis, Ill.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; died June 23 of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during combat operations in Baghdad.
