48, of Mobile, Ala.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died Oct. 14 of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Baghdad. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Joseph M. Kane and Cpl. Timothy J. Lauer.
