Marine Lance Cpl. Joseph B. Maglione

Died April 01, 2003 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom

22, of Lansdale, Pa.; assigned to Bridge Company B, 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group, based in Folsom, Pa.; killed by a non-combat weapon discharge at Camp Coyote, Kuwait.

Joseph B. Maglione was an architectural engineering major at Drexel University before joining the Marine Reserves in 2000.

“He wanted to serve his country,” said his mother, Rosemarie Corr. “He was so proud of being a Marine. He thought the Marines were the best, the bravest.” Maglione was activated March 7 and stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., before being deployed to Kuwait. He died April 1.
