Army Staff Sgt. Chris N. Staats
Died October 16, 2009 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom32, of Fredericksburg, Texas; assigned to the 143rd Infantry Detachment, Austin, Texas; died Oct. 16 in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an IED. Also killed was Spc. Anthony G. Green.
