24, of Uvalde, Texas; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; killed Nov. 9 when his patrol was attacked by enemy forces using a rocket-propelled grenade and small-arms fire in Baghdad.
