Army Staff Sgt. Charles R. Sanders Jr.
Died April 06, 2005 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom29, of Charleston, Mo.; assigned to the 5th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, 12th Aviation Brigade, Giebelstadt, Germany; killed April 6 when the CH-47 helicopter in which he was riding crashed in Ghazni, Afghanistan. Fifteen service members were killed or are unaccounted for in the crash.
