Army Pfc. Nicolas E. Messmer
Died May 08, 2005 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom20, of Franklin, Ohio; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Greaves, Korea; killed May 8 when he was conducting combat operations and an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee in Khalidiyah, Iraq. Also killed was Army Staff Sgt. Thor H. Ingraham.
