The Navy has published the results of special and general courts-martial tried in August — 23 verdicts in all. The cases, by the region in which they were tried:
Naval District Washington
General court-martial
■In Washington, D.C., a Navy midshipman was tried for abusive sexual contacts and assaults consummated by battery. On Aug. 29, the panel of members returned a verdict of not guilty.
Special court-martial
■In Washington, HN Joshua Snyder pleaded guilty to wrongful use and possession of marijuana, wrongful possession of cocaine, theft of military property and wrongful solicitations. On Aug. 1, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction to paygrade E-1 and confinement for six months.

General court-martial
■In Norfolk, Virginia, HTFN Geoffrey Rollins pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. On Aug. 8, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction to paygrade E-1 and confinement for 30 months.
Special court-martial
■In Groton, Connecticut, YN1 John Diianni pleaded guilty to larceny. On Aug. 28, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction to paygrade E-3 and confinement for five months.
Navy Region Southeast
General courts-martial
■In Pensacola, Florida, an E-8 was tried for sexual assault of a child, aggravated assault, assault consummated by a battery and indecent liberties with a child. On Aug. 14, a panel of members returned a verdict of not guilty.
■In Jacksonville, Florida, an O-2 was tried for sexual assault. On Aug. 19, the military judge returned a verdict of not guilty.
■In Mayport, Florida, an E-5 was tried for rape and indecent exposure. On Aug. 28, a panel of members returned a verdict of not guilty.
Special courts-martial
■In Jacksonville, GM1 Bradley Nguyen pleaded guilty to distribution and use of steroids and failure to obey a general order. On Aug. 5, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction to paygrade E-4 and confinement for 120 days.
■In Mayport, ISC Jonathan Will pleaded guilty to drunken operation of a vehicle, being drunk on duty and unauthorized absence. On Aug. 14, the military judge sentenced him to a reduction to paygrade E-6, a fine of $500 and confinement for one day.
■In Pensacola, AOAA Christopher Curry pleaded guilty to unauthorized absence, failure to obey a general order, drunken operation of a vehicle and use of cocaine. On Aug. 15, the military judge sentenced him to forfeit $1,000 per month for three months, reduction to paygrade E-1, and confinement for 90 days.

General courts-martial
■In Bremerton, Washington, LS1 Gregory Hurst pleaded guilty to sexual abuses of a child and sodomy of a child. On Aug. 27, the military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge and confinement for 38 years.
■In Bremerton, ET3 Travis Avance pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. On Aug. 27, the military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge and confinement for five years.
Special courts-martial
■In Bremerton, AE1 Derek Leone was tried for assault consummated by a battery, violation of a general order and larceny. On Aug. 1, a panel of members returned a verdict of guilty of violating a general order and sentenced him to forfeit $2,423 per month for six months and restriction for 60 days.
■In Bremerton, AM2 Anthony Kolbaba was tried for aggravated assault of a child. On Aug. 26, a military judge returned a verdict of guilty of assault consummated by battery of a child and sentenced him to a written reprimand.

Special courts-martial
■In San Diego, FTSN Frank Brum pleaded guilty to unauthorized absence and breaking restriction. On Aug. 4, the military judge sentenced him to forfeit $750 per month for two months, reduction to paygrade E-2 and confinement for 75 days.
■In San Diego, MC2 Jamar Perry was tried for sexual contact and assault. On Aug. 6, a panel of members returned a verdict of guilty and sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge and reduction to paygrade E-1.
■In San Diego, FC1 Joseph Sheppard pleaded guilty to assault consummated by a battery. On Aug. 8, the military judge sentenced him to a fine of $3,000 and confinement for 45 days.
■In San Diego, CSSN Bobby Floyd pleaded guilty to unauthorized absence and use of a controlled substance. On Aug. 26, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction to paygrade E-1 and confinement for 115 days.
■In San Diego, AO3 Daniel Morrison pleaded guilty to unauthorized absence and use of marijuana. On Aug. 26, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, reduction to paygrade E-2 and confinement for 105 days.
Navy Region Hawaii
General court-martial
■In Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, ETSN Joseph Fisher pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. On Aug. 20, the military judge sentenced him to be a dishonorable discharge and confinement for 21 months.
Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia
General courts-martial
■In Rota, Spain, MA3 Nicholas Marrero pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a child and impeding an investigation. On Aug. 19, the military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, reduction to paygrade E-1 and confinement for 30 months.
■In Rota, MA3 Michael Wines pleaded guilty to sexual assault and sexual abuse of a child. On Aug. 21, the military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, reduction to paygrade E-1 and confinement for 45 months.
Special court-martial
■In Sigonella, Sicily, Italy, LSSN Eric McBee pleaded guilty to unauthorized absence, failure to obey a general order and stealing mail. On Aug. 8, the military judge sentenced him to a bad conduct discharge, to forfeit $1,356 per month for three months, reduction to paygrade E-1 and confinement for three months.
