American Tool & Engraving Inc., or ATEi, is a Michigan-based machine shop focused on customizing firearms, primarily Glock and Smith & Wesson M&P pistols. New for 2015, the company is offering enhanced weight-saving front serrations on Glock models.
Drawing from the longer open porting on the Chris Costa Edition M&P last year, ATEi set out to add similar porting to Glocks. The difference between this and other slide enhancements, such as the long linear porting of the Costa M&P pistol, is that the material removal on the Glocks is between the enhanced serrations. This allows for a lighter slide while maintaining the feel of the serrations on the gun.

ATEi also now provides nickel boron coating of barrels and other pistol parts.
Slide porting on Glock models is available now and runs about $150, depending on variations.
All finishing and customizations are a la carte. Pricing is available on the website at ateiguns.com.
