Although this isn't the same as one of the famed Magpul lowers that sells for astronomical prices, S&W will now be offering a midlength M&P15 with Magpul MOE furniture. What sets this apart from the other MOE-equipped carbines is the lower: it has a very nicely done Magpul marking on the right side of the magwell.
Also, the (forged) lower has an integral winter trigger guard. I do not normally get excited about lowers, and this is no exception. However, the forging was well done. The trigger guard is a good size and well rounded to not cause undue finger irritation and/or pain. If they decide to sell this lower separately, I think it will be well received by the market.
Pricing for the whole carbine was not immediately available, but the weapon itself is: I was told to expect it on dealer shelves almost immediately.
