Silencerco is partnering with Rifle Dynamics to build suppressor optimized AKs.

The first fruit of their collaboration are these two eastern bloc beauties, one chambered in 300 AAC Blackout, the other in AK traditional 7.62x39mm.

The 300 AAC build, left, is a two-stamp gun made from a converted Arsenal Krinkov AK and features a US made 1/7" twist, 9.25" 300 AAC Blackout barrel, RD tuned tuned Bulgarian innards, wooden furniture, an UltiMAK optic mount and a SilencerCo Saker 762 suppressor; although SilencerCo says the production guns may ship with the new Omega silencer, instead.

The gun is optimized to run with a can. So, while it will run supersonic ammo suppressed and unsuppressed, it will only cycle subsonic ammo with the suppressor in place. We're told this is a trade off made to ensure clean reliable function of the suppressed gun.

The 7.62x39 gun, below right, has a 14.5" barrel and a pinned muzzle device with an Omega silencer.

There's no more information on exact configurations, pricing or date of availability, but SilencerCo says they will have all of this information available by the end of the first quarter 2015. I'd love to see that 300 AAC gun in a pistol configuration with ATF form 1 wait times so much shorter than form 4 wait times. Swing by SilencerCo's booth #20205 to see these guns at SHOT Show plus the Rifle Dynamics Saiga 12 with SilencerCo's Salvo12 suppressor, shown below left.
