Mountain Hardwear gave us a heads-up on a new tent they intend to bring to the military market. The Hunker 1 is a freestanding single wall tent. It's a 1-person design with 2 doors, 3 poles and 4-season functionality. It's low peak height is intended to keep visibility down but still allow some ability to live comfortably inside for extended periods. One of it's two doors has a vestibule awning to cover gear in bad weather that will also mate up with another Hunker 1 to provide a covered work area between the two tents. Right now it's still pre-production, so pricing isn't set yet.
