Tactical Tailor has a new Covert Carry Case coming out, and we were able to lay our hands on a prototype. The project name of T2C3 may or may not, carry over to the final production model, but there isn't much question that it rolls off the tongue quicker than saying "Tactical Tailor Covert Carry Case". The T2C3 is slated for a few different lengths, as well as different models being setup for carrying one or two weapons. Going a step further, GW Ayers of Tactical Tailor commented there would be a variety of colors to choose from, and that some of those would be non-military looking. This makes complete sense to us as most tan or black cases have a "weapon" look about them.
We found a list of reasons why we like this case, click the picture to jump forward and see our top 5 favorite features. If nothing else, click the image to look at the rest of the pictures, this is the first look that anyone outside the company has seen.

Top Five Features at First Glance:
- Heavy duty construction. Anyone who has used Tactical Tailor packs or other gear knows that their zippers aren't going to rip, and seams aren't going to split, and its not going to wear out prematurely. The T2C3 carries on in this same manner. When I first heard about it I thought it being a "Covert Case" I thought it might be a light weight, but there are no problems here.
- Two tiered primary exterior pocket which is large enough to hold a stack of magazines and accessories. Having two sections inside is a nice touch, and it keeps the magazines and other items separate, but equal.
- Inclusion of a shooting pad. This layers between the two weapons providing protection from slamming into each other, and unclips to work as a shooting pad. If needed, you can always clean your weapon on it if you are in the dirt, sand, or laying things out on your wife's new kitchen table.
- Cleaning rod holder. Running straight down the center of the case is a series of loops designed to hold your cleaning rod. Even if you aren't going to be cleaning your weapon at the range, its nice to be able to "rod the weapon" if needed. This may seem like a little thing, but its attention to detail from people who have used a weapon for a living.
- Adjustable weapon attachment points. While some manufacturers have laid out material to sandwich an M4 or AR15 into certain positions in their cases, that leaves me underwhelmed when I need to use the case for a different setup. Using adjustable hard locking pieces instead of just velcro tabs, the weapon is placed securely where I want it.
In typical attention to detail, Tactical Tailor handed us a prototype case which appears that it will do the job asked and a little more. The one thing that I did not show pictures of is the back of the case. Tactical Tailor has already stated that they have a different method of attaching the sling which will make it more convenient for shooters to throw the case over their shoulder. Personally, I like what is there now, so any improvement should be outstanding.
