Direct mount, purpose built weapon lights can't be beat for durability and ergonomics when paired with a railed handguard. But, you're limited to mounting them flat on a rail and likely in a more rearward rail position that won't interfere with a PEQ15 or DBAL. With the release of the Thorntail Offset, Haley Strategic expands your mounting options when running an integral rail-mount light such as the Surefire X300/400 or Inforce WML. The mount is a short length of picatinny rail held off an existing picatinny rail at 45°.
