Finally, Congratulations are in order because Spyderco won the Most Innovative American Design award at Blade Show with the Autonomy, an automatic made specifically for U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmers. It uses H-1 non-corrosive steel and an oversized firing button to launch it's 3.65" modified sheepsfoot blade. The button, passes through two full steel liners further stabilizing and increases lock strength. It's easy to clean with a completely flushable pass through design. In fact, the firing button coil spring module is made to be user serviceable without disassembly of the entire knife. The Autonomy should go into full production this year, and here's the scary part, MSRP is "TBD"...We'll keep our fingers crossed. [nggallery id=628]
