The Cult of ‘Chaos’ is a real thing.

From t-shirts to posters to air fresheners, former-general-turned-secretary-of-defense James Mattis is nearly on par with Sparta’s Leonidas when it comes to motivating today’s warrior class.

But while the vast majority of products that commemorate Mattis' tactical brilliance are non-kinetic, Palmetto State Armory decided to shift its Mad Doggery in a more ballistic direction.

Introduced earlier this year (and reportedly soon to be back in stock), the PSA “Mad Dog” stripped AR-15 lower receiver pays homage to the master Marine with a saintly stamped magwell, unique product name (MAD DOG-15), specially-scripted serial number (CHAOS-XXXX) and safety selector verbiage that refers to the silver-tongued slayer’s oft-repeated quotes.

There’s no price listed on the PSA site since the Mad Dog lower is temporarily out of stock, but other specially-made lowers from PSA are running anywhere between $60-$80 — a freaking steal, if you think about it.

Palmetto State Armory even has a limited-edition “Space Force” lower for shooters with more cosmic sensibilities.

No matter how you slice it, this Mad Dog lower is likely to live up to the adage “no greater friend, no worse enemy” — that is, if you can get your hands on one.
