Instead, try Vapur's Anti-Bottle. It's a slightly nerdier, slightly smaller kid brother to Platypus' popular crowd of water bottles. And at $9.99 it won't break the bank if you lose it.

The Anti-Bottle is made with three layers of ultra-durable plastic, BPA-free, freezable and weighs almost nothing when empty. Extra points to Vapur for making it dishwasher safe.

Slightly wacky: Drinking from this will make you feel like an adult drinking Capri Sun, minus the straw.

Check out the rest of the details, after the jump.

But this bottle's best attribute is its packability. When it's empty it rolls up into a 4¾"-by-3¾" little ball of nylon, making it ideal to shove in a pack, glove box or even a coat pocket. Have water when you want it and no fussy empty bottle to carry around for the rest of the day.

I carried this with me to Salt Lake City for Outdoor Retailers and can tell you this is an ideal bottle to schlep through the airport. It can stow away flat in a laptop case, or roll up and fit in a carry-on pocket. After you've been groped screened by TSA, you can fill it up and not be completely dehydrated when you arrive at your destination.

The largest size you can get, though, is half a liter, which isn't going to last you long. But the small size will at least give you an excuse to get up often to refill it. The mouth of the bottle is only an inch in diameter (the same size as most grocery store bottles of water) which unfortunately makes it too small for ice cubes. And your aim better be good if you're going to fill it from a water fountain or anything else trickier than a faucet. It's also best suited for fair weather: Leave this in the car in the summer and your water temperature will match the air in no time flat.

The Anti-Bottle comes in .4L  and .5L ($9.99 to $11.99 for the .5L/$16.99 for a 2-pack of the .4L) sizes. If you're really into it, you can buy your bottle a sweater for $6.99.

Check them out here. Especially this one. Go buy it for your girlfriend, she'll think its adorable.

... and, sidebar,  who knew Platypus made a sport bottle for wine?
