Approximately 300 wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans are participating in DoD Warrior Games. The athletes represent the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Special Operations Command. Athletes from the U.K. Armed Forces, Australian Defence Force and Canadian Armed Forces will also compete.
About 300 wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans from all five services are competing in 14 sports and they are joined by military athletes from the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and Denmark.
Although NCOs are often referenced as “the backbone of the force,” serving as the front-line leaders who are tasked with thinking strategically while directing execution daily at the tactical level, unemployment compensation rates for this group continually outpace all other segments of the veteran population.
