Fayobserver.com is reporting Tim D'Annunzio, the founder of Paraclete Armor and Equipment, has started a new tactical equipment venture called XPX Armor & Equipment.
D'Annunzio cashed out about five years ago when he sold Paraclete to MSA. He signed a 5-year non-compete contract, as is pretty normal. So, he had some time to kill and money to spend from the sale of Paraclete. He opened an indoor sky diving business and ran unsuccessfully for Congress.
He told the Fayettville Observer, "When I sold the company, I had no plans really to get back in the business."
But, with doors open for less than a month, he appears to be making up for lost time as D'Annunzio says the company already has $1 million in contracts.
