According to the Henry Herald, Abbate was only found guilty of charges that he provided a sex toy to a minor. The remaining 23 charges relating to allegations that he carried on a long term relationship with a minor, one of his female students, were dismissed.
Now, many of you know exactly who the "minor" is. And, you may know some other people that were caught up in this mess. This is a scandal that has affected the careers of a few top shooters in the competitive pistol shooting scene.
I am glad it's coming to a close, though I am shocked that a jury dismissed the allegations that Abbate had a relationship with the minor.
