Sailors, it took some catching up, but here are two Navy races for you.
Navy Ten Nautical-Miler
If you're in or around Tennessee this summer, check out this June 3 race. Runners toe the line at 6 a.m. in Millington to run 10 nautical miles in and around the Naval Support Activity Mid-South installation. "Absolutely no 'bandits' will be permitted to run this portion of the race," the website says, "Not even a military ID will gain you access past security through this particular gate."
Registration is $45 through April 30, and $75 if you register at the Expo. No race-day registration. Click here for more information.
Navy 5-Miler
The website for this race hasn't been updated yet with 2012 information. The 5-miler is typically in late September and starts and ends in Virginia at the Pentagon. We'll post updated information as it becomes available, but registration last year opened at the end of March. So you've got a little time.
