Think about that for a minute, that's 30 years worth of perfect.

Marine Corps Times' Gina Harkins wrote this week about Keck and his self-described PT obsession. She says:

At 51 years old, Lt. Col. Dean Keck has the Physical Fitness Test mastered. He has 54 consecutive perfect scores of 300 over the past 30 years. And when the Corps introduced the Combat Fitness Test 25 years into his career, Keck aced that, too.

The maintenance officer with Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans has taken two PFTs in Iraq. Since there wasn't much else to do to celebrate New Year's there in 2007, Keck took another PFT just after midnight — and earned another 300.

He has also taken two in Afghanistan, one of which was in Regional Command East at an elevation above 5,000 feet. That level elevation allotted him extra time to complete the run. But Keck didn't need it.
