National Guard components in California, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, New York, Maryland Rhode Island and Washington have been activated to assist in combating the spread of COVID-19. The units are supporting logistics, communications and planning operations alongside state officials.
Governors in Washington, California, New York, Florida, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut have all issued emergency proclamations given increases in COVID-19. These declarations allow state governments additional resources, including the ability to swiftly implement a National Guard response.
